SMVDU Technology Business Incubation Center (SMVDU-TBIC) fosters innovation-driven entrepreneurship and supports early-stage startups with end-to-end incubation support. We enable founders to navigate the journey from idea to enterprise through funding, mentorship, infrastructure, and go-to-market assistance.
As an initiative supported by DST, MSME, and the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, SMVDU-TBIC provides a fertile ground for ventures across diverse sectors including AgriTech, EdTech, Green Energy, Defence, HealthTech, and Cultural Innovation. Our programs are tailored to support startups at all stages—from ideation to scaling—through pre-incubation, seed funding, and sector-specific accelerators.
With a focus on building regional innovation leadership, SMVDU-TBIC actively collaborates with policymakers, academic institutions, industry experts, and investors. We are committed to nurturing a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir that empowers youth, drives job creation, and transforms ideas into impactful ventures.

Incubation Process
At SMVDU-TBIC, the incubation journey begins with an open application and screening process to identify innovative, viable startup ideas. Selected founders are invited to pitch before an expert panel, following which successful ventures are formally onboarded through an incubation agreement. Startups gain access to co-working space, labs, and essential infrastructure. Throughout the incubation period, they receive tailored mentorship, business development support, and assistance with legal, IP, and go-to-market strategies. Startups are also guided in securing seed funding, government grants, and investor connections. With periodic reviews to track progress, startups scale towards commercialization and eventually graduate, joining SMVDU-TBIC’s growing alumni network of impactful ventures.

Procedure For Admission To SMVDU-TBIC
Rolling preliminary applications can be submitted online through the SMVDU-TBIC website, with evaluations conducted monthly.
The SMVDU-TBIC Evaluation Committee will review applications based on predefined criteria and may invite selected incubatees to present their ideas for further consideration.
