A major highlight of the event was the Innovation Showcase, where various startups presented
their groundbreaking products. Among them, SMVDU students Anas Ibni Ali Wani and
Dewang Khajuria from the School of Architecture and Landscape Design showcased their
innovative project addressing the pressing issue of stubble burning. Their patented solution
involves a Pyrolyser machine that uses a pyrolysis process to convert agricultural stubble into
biochar, which is then used to create eco-friendly construction tiles. This sustainable innovation
aims to tackle air pollution, reduce stubble waste, and offer a green alternative for the
construction industry. Anas also participated in the Pitch Deck Competition at IIM Jammu,
delivering an impressive presentation to a panel of experts and receiving recognition for his
creative solution.
