Bari Brahmna, January 27, 2025: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Technology Business
Incubation Center (SMVDU-TBIC) participated in the prestigious “Jammu Kashmir Konnect”
interactive session, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute
(JKEDI). The event, held at JKEDI in Bari Brahmna, aimed to foster collaboration and innovation within Jammu & Kashmir’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The session featured Shri Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director of DPIIT, Government of India, as the keynote speaker, and brought together key stakeholders, including incubation center heads, their teams, and prominent startups affiliated with incubators across J&K.

Representing SMVDU-TBIC, CEO Dr. Sanjay Mohan, along with Business Manager Ms. Divye
Duheta Mahajan and Committee Member Dr. Ankush Raina, actively participated in the
discussions and shared valuable insights.

During the session, SMVDU-TBIC highlighted key areas crucial to the growth and success of
the startup ecosystem in J&K. The team emphasized the need for all stakeholders from various
incubators to unite and develop a cohesive community plan aimed at uplifting startups. They also
stressed the importance of establishing a robust mentorship network covering every phase of a
startup’s development. Additionally, SMVDU-TBIC expressed a keen interest in exploring
DPIIT’s schemes that could further empower incubators and startups.

The interactive session served as an invaluable platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, discuss key developments, and strategize on nurturing entrepreneurship in J&K. The dialogue emphasized the importance of creating a cohesive, inclusive, and resourceful ecosystem that supports startups at every stage of their journey.
